As America’s 12th-largest city, Fort Worth is home to one of the best downtowns in the nation; the Stockyards National Historic District; a world-class Cultural District and Texas Motor Speedway. Located twenty minutes from D/FW International Airport, 30 miles west of Dallas and near authentic ranches and open plains, Fort Worth offers a diverse array of settings from Metropolitan chic to a page out of the Old West.
The Fort Worth Film Commission was established in 2015 and has since worked with hundreds of projects to drive $655 million in economic impact and support over 18,900 jobs. Investing in local productions creates a 1:5 return in economic impact with businesses benefitting across the city and in a wide variety of industries (retail, construction, hotels, food and beverage, etc.). Film and television productions put Fort Worth in the spotlight through public relations in national story placements which raises awareness of Fort Worth as a city for creative industries and as a tourist destination.
Highlights of projects include films such as: A Ghost Story, The Old Man & the Gun, Never Goin’ Back, No Future, Miss Juneteenth ,12 Mighty Orphans, The Senior, and Taylor Sheridan's 1883.
